Legend Cars, SK Modifieds ® to highlight June 30th Speedbowl Summer Showdown

Waterford- The Summer Showdown Legends race is just over two weeks
away. The Legends division will compete in a 35 lap special event,
showcasing the division. As an added bonus, the SK Modifieds ® will run
their 80 Lap feature event that was rained out on Budweiser Blast-Off
weekend. This event is scheduled for Saturday, June 30th. The guaranteed
winning pay out in that race is $4150.00.

As for the Legends, the event will consist of Group Time Sessions to set
up the heat races, which will be 10 laps, consolation races, a B-Main,
with the winner having the option to take the $100.00 for the win, or
pass on the money and move to the A-Main, leaving the 2nd place finisher
to get what the winner did not choose. The event will conclude with a
guaranteed $2000.00 to win the A-Main, which will only allow 28 cars.

Guaranteed Legend Car payouts are as follows:
1st- $2000.00     6th- $100.00
2nd- $700.00      7th- $90.00
3rd- $500.00      8th- $80.00
4th- $300.00      9th- $70.00
5th- $200.00      10th- $60.00
         11th-28th: $50.00

The weekend will begin with a Test and Tune Night on Friday, June 29th.
This is available to Legend cars only. Pit gates will open at 3:00 pm,
with on-track activity from 4:00-8:00 pm, followed by a party under the
tent, with food and beverages available. Pit admission for Friday night
is $20 per person, which includes admission to the party under the tent.
On Saturday, June 30th, pits open for the Legends parking and inspection
at 11:00 am. A registration fee or $75 is due at that time, along with
the regualr $30 pit pass. Practice will begin at 1:30 pm. Anyone

The SK Modifieds ® will follow the normal set Saturday schedule on that
day (TBA). This race is open to all Waterford legal SK Modifieds ®
regardless if they were there opening day or not. Sponsors for the 80
Lap event include, Racechoice.com, JJ Dibble Construction, Race Hill
Farm, Charles Toyota, Pearson Motorsports, Mod Squad Racing Media,
Sireci’s Automotive, Filomena’s Restaurant, The Half Keg Tavern, Action
Carpentry, The Sireci Family (in memory of Patricia Sireci), Alex
Canestrari (in memory of Eddie Bunnell), Bob Potter, NLWS Wrecker Crew,
Prestige Motorsports, Roger Gaudio, Brody’s Seafood Market and Deli,
Race Works Chassis, RAE Battery, Middletown Tile, Black Flamingo
Boutique, 32 Signs, and Jurcik Brothers Racing. The purse to the winner
is a guaranteed $4150.00, with lap bonuses and a hard charger award,
that total could increase.

In addition to the 2 extra distance features, the SK Modified ® Lites,
Sportsman, Trucks, and Mini Stocks will all be in action for their
regularly scheduled distance features. Also, there will be a classic car
cruise on the midway.
