First Responders Night at New London Waterford Speedbowl also brings the Billy Greco/Terry Baribeault SK 43

As Dave Baribeault celebrates a milestone of being an announcer at the New London Waterford Speedbowl of 20 Years, he looks forward to fulfilling a promise that he made some years ago that he would “give back something to each division that races at the New London Waterford Speedbowl”.

Dave continues to fulfill this promise in 2025 with the Wild & Wacky Wednesday divisions on August 13th with a contingency sponsorship of $75.00 to each feature winner in the Super X, X-Cars, Legends and Bandolero divisions. His promise then continues as he sponsors the third running of the Billy Greco/Terry Baribeault SK 43 scheduled to run on First Responders Night on Saturday, August 16th.

This race honors two special people in Dave’s life, Billy Greco, Dave’s first racing hero and Terry Baribeault, Dave’s mother and long-time spectator at the Speedbowl.

The Billy Greco/Terry Baribeault SK 43, will be 43 laps of wheel to wheel racing as SK Modifieds compete for a $2,500.00 to win payout. SK Modified drivers will also compete during heat races for the F&M Electric sponsored Dash for Cash with heat race winners receiving $150.00.

Racers for Racers will sponsor a $50.00 payout to the winner of the Late Model, Street Stock, Legends, Truck and Crown Vic divisions with Norm Perry of Ashaway Performance Engines sponsoring the Mini Stock race with a $60.00, $40.00 and $25.00 payout respectively, to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers.

Commemorative event T-Shirts will be available where proceeds will be given to a lucky driver in each division as well as a chance for spectators to win a model of Billy Greco’s pink #43 with trailer, where proceeds from this will be given to Maverick, a 7 year old boy battling Lukemia.

Dave thanks the many sponsors who have contributed to this event and looks forward to seeing many racers and fans attend this annual event. Dave says “It certainly will be a night of action at the shoreline oval that you will not want to miss”.
