For immediate release from the New London-Waterford Speedbowl
WATERFORD – Adam Gada tried to hold on when the SK Modified® green flag dropped but couldn’t do much to hold off Anthony Flannery. Todd Owen

and Eric Berndt also slipped by Gada in the early laps, running off from the field. Flannery and Owen already had a respectable lead but when lapped traffic came into play with 10 to go, that sealed the deal in the caution free affair. Flannery’s lead multiplied in a matter of seconds over Owen, and the defending champion would pick up his first win of the season.

Ike Chima flexed his muscle over Adam Coutu in the Street Stocks, leading the charge in an attempt to resume what he had started the race before. Al Stone III made a 3 wide attempt under Coutu but it backfired allowing Chima and Aaron Plemons to run off. Bo Norman and Stone moved into third and fourth, but it was clear that Norman was on a mission. Norman caught the leaders who had made contact, opening the door to slip into second. By halfway, he was in the lead. Norman picked up the win in only his second start of the season.
Andy Pellegrini was locked in a side by side battle with Jaysin Beal to kick the Truck race off. Jake Coutu was all over their back bumper as they jockeyed for the lead waiting to strike. All the while, Ryan Lineham and Tyler Chapman were working their way through the field from the back after

suffering some mechanical woes in qualifying. Coutu dove underneath the battle for the lead in a 3-wide attempt, but the result was that Pellegrini had sole possession. Chapman used this opportunity to move into second and then the lead with 8 laps to go. Lineham was able to close the gap for the lead but ultimately ran out of time. Chapman picked up his second win in just 3 starts this season.

After being postponed from earlier in the season, the Mini Stocks contested their 50 lap main event. David Lee led the charge over defending champion Charles Canfield in a high pressure situation, that was quickly disrupted on the eighth circuit when lapped traffic came into play. Lee extended his lead from this, but just 3 laps later the caution would fly erasing his lead. Andrew Krzeminski and Canfield dove underneath Lee on the restart and take possession of the lead with Chris Garside watching. Krzeminski checked out and on lap 18 Canfield was able to clear Lee for second. Almost immediately, Garside and Tim Dorr slipped by as well. A huge lead for Krzeminski was erased with 18 laps to go when Dorr made heavy contact with the turn 2 wall, ending his 3rd place run. Krzeminski and Garside took off from the field and locked themselves in a game of cat and mouse, which was once again erased. This time with 3 laps on the board. Krzeminski was able to hold off Garside and score back to back wins in the division.
The Legend Cars went 50 laps this week with Wade Oemcke the early race leader. He had to hold off some strong competitors in PJ Evans, Riley Paul, and Dylan Freeman over the first 10 laps. A caution stacked the field back up which allowed Evans to power by on the outside and take down the lead

leaving Oemcke to duke it out with Freeman. It took until about halfway for Freeman to slip by into second but with Evans safely out front it was basically all over. Lapped traffic with 4 to go wasn’t enough to close the gap, and Evans picked up the win.

Robert Jones took the lead early in the Crown Vics but wasn’t able to hold off Ben Bosowski for long. Austin Erickson was all over the leaders bumper in a chaotic first 6 laps. Jake Caprio and Gregg Prevost III made contact which also saw previous winner Jack Emerson have to go to the pits with a flat tire. Erickson took advantage of the restart and ran away from the field leaving Ben Bosowski to deal with Jessica Bosowski. Trouble for Ben sent him to the infield to retire early leaving Jessica to fight for the podium with Brent Robidoux who had come from the back. Erickson easily picked up his second Speedbowl win of the season.
Glen Marion Jr picked up his second Compact Enduro win of the season in a 50 lap, 37 car affair.

On Wednesday for Bill Roberts’ Championshp Night for our Wild ‘n Wacky competitors, Jacob

Burns went on to win 8 consecutive Legend Car features, tying the record and locking down his second championship. Ben Pollard won the feature and scored his third consecutive Super X-Car championship. Christian Herman inherited the win in post-race inspection, but either way he secured the points title, and in American Vintage Modified competition, Brian Norman went 1 for 1 on the season. The Bandoleros will conclude their points hunt this coming Saturday.
