Changes regarding Left Side Tires SK Modified and SK Lights.

Attention Competitors:

Due to the nationwide tire shortage, the New London Waterford Speedbowl has adopted the following tire policies related to the feature events to be held on 6/26/21, and for the remainder of the season.

SK Modifieds®:
This weeks scheduled Tire Inventory is 2 as posted, however it is being limited to right side tires only. If Hoosier has little to no supply of left side tires at this time.

Teams who qualified on 6/19 must start the held over feature event on the marked tires they qualified on last week.

For the regularly scheduled feature event for 6/26/21 teams may use any tire from their inventory. The tire official will check the numbers on the tires competed with against the tire inventory records.

The SK Modified® Fast 5 Race for 7/3/21 is still being held as scheduled. If there needs to be any changes for that event it will be relayed to teams no later than Wednesday.

SK Lights:

This weeks scheduled Tire Inventory is being limited to 1 tire, Right side as Hoosier has little to no supply of Left Side tires.

In an effort to help make tires available longer, only SK Modified® and SK Light teams competing on race day will be allowed to purchase tires. The driver will be given a slip when they sign in which states the number of tires allowed to be purchased. This will be handed to Hoosier Tire Truck each week when buying tires. If you do not buy your tire allotment, you can still bank the unused tires to be used later in the season.

Mini Stocks:
Mini Stock Competitors do not have a managed tire inventory; however, teams will be limited to buying only 2 tires each week.
In an effort to help make tires available longer, only teams competing on race day will be allowed to purchase tires.

Mini Stock teams will be given a slip to turn in to the Hoosier Tire Truck when purchasing tires each week. Slips are only good for the date listed on the slip. Unused slips are void once the Tire Truck leaves for the event.

Legend Cars:
We have been informed that there is a shortage of the INEX Spec Hoosier Tire. Going forward all qualifying for legends will be 6 laps in group format, and Legend Car feature events will be 20 laps in distance except for the Legends Fall Classic (35 Laps) which is scheduled for 9/25/21.

Any divisions with a managed tire inventory, drivers competing for the first time will still begin their inventory with 6 tires, however only 5 may be new tires and the 6th one must be a used tire.

Any changes or updates made after this weekend will be made as needed and relayed to teams via Facebook, postings at the track, the weekly Drivers Meetings, and on our webpage, www.speedbowlct.com
